About the Role: Rebellyous Foods is seeking an experienced, conscientious, flexible, and detail-oriented HR Business Partner who enjoys making a difference, being a part of a team, takes pride in working in a fast-paced, constantly changing early-stage startup environment and thrives working in an intense food manufacturing workplace. This person will partner with the Director of HR & Recruiting in implementing new processes, procedures and programs, recruitment and hiring, and provide other invaluable HR support.

Position Responsibilities Include: 

  • Seek and cultivate opportunities to build relationships across organizational boundaries to strengthen relationships, leverage talents and enhance job satisfaction and performance
  • Function as a change agent, supporting leaders and staff with planning for change and successfully moving teams through the change continuum. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Director of HR & Recruiting to assist in developing solutions and programs that support policies that foster collaborative, an equitable and inclusive workforce and support equity programming
  • Facilitate the resolution of complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective employee relation fact finding investigations to recommend solutions to issues
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of staff, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., leave management, coaching, consulting, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Partner with leaders and the Director of HR & Recruiting to identify and champion performance management and feedback mechanisms for setting expectations, holding people accountable, fostering an environment of continual performance feedback
  • Participate in all aspects of recruitment, including drafting and/or revising job descriptions, managing job postings on both internal and external websites,  candidate sourcing, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and managing candidate communications
  • Lead outbound recruiting efforts using tools such as LinkedIn, community job boards, attending job fairs, and other high-impact methods
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding and training strategy 
  • Assist in the offboarding process including exit interviews/surveys and process development
  • Analyze trends and metrics relating to retention and workforce engagement


Qualifications: Candidates should have all of the following credentials:

  • 3+ years of experience as a HRBP
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both WA and federal employment laws
  • Experience working with HRIS and ATS systems, preferably with BambooHR
  • Proficiency in G-Suite applications as well as MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a cross functional team atmosphere
  • Compassionate people-skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable 
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and willing to take on any tasks to support team efforts
  • Good research skills and highly organized
  • Capable of making decisions independently and exercising excellent judgment
  • Handles confidential information with discretion
  • Strong work ethic, integrity and personal accountability
  • Ability to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19


Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds. Position is located in an intensive manufacturing environment and may require getting involved in manufacturing for training purposes or to meet deadlines. 


Location:  West Seattle, WA.
